We’re Talon AV

Building connections that build stories

A technical production team for the events you can’t afford to get wrong

What makes us connect

Talon works because we come at every show from different angles and cover each other's blind spots. Some of us think in systems and see the whole show before it starts. Some of us have built things with our hands and understand what a design actually takes to execute. Some of us live in the gap between a big idea and its flawless delivery, making sure nothing slips through the cracks between concept and showtime.

None of us are trying to do each other's jobs. We're trying to make sure nothing gets missed. That's the model: less about any one person's talent, more about a team that's actually built to catch what the others can't see alone. It's why clients feel the difference when Talon's involved, not because we're the loudest voice in the room, but because we're the ones who already thought of the thing you were worried about.

Our Team

Tim Kerbavaz (He/Him)

Tim Kebavaz is a seasoned Technical Producer, with experience ranging from education to entertainment to corporate production. Tim started his career in the museum and education space, as an educator and interactive designer, then moved into live entertainment as a production manager and audio engineer at several venues. Tim also served as the Special Event Technical Director at UC Davis, operating the internal event AV service and providing full-service AV on an off campus.

Tim founded Talon AV with his college friend Aaron Cooper in 2010, and has grown the company into a connectivity obsessed technical production agency serving clients globally.

Outside of work, Tim focuses on building community at home in Sacramento, CA, decorating his mid century home, and keeping his jungle of house plants alive and well.

In Memory of Aaron Cooper

Aaron and I started this company in a college bedroom in 2010, because we wanted to help people come together through stories and music. He was a DJ and a recording engineer with a great ear; I was the guy who could make the gear work. We built Talon together.

Aaron passed away in March 2018. Everything Talon has become since then still carries his name and his memory.
